Web Host Hivelocity Adds New Live Order Tracking Feature

Dedicated server and infrastructure services provider Hivelocity, has announced the introduction of a new live order tracking feature within their myVelocity customer portal. This new feature allows customers to follow along and know exactly where Hivelocity is with their new order as well as watch live within the data center as their new server gets deployed.

When someone places a new order with Hivelocity they are immediately granted access to myVelocity where they can see the new dynamic status bar showing exactly where the Hivelocity server deployment team is with their order. Customers can watch along as IPs are being allocated, RAM being installed, hard drives being mounted, operating system being loaded and so on, all the way to the rack and ping. When the status bar says “server being racked” customers will surely want to pay close attention to the live camera feed also included in the new order tracking system. Customers are able to watch live as the Hivelocity techs walk each new server into the data center and place them in their new rack. Hivelocity typically deploys new servers within 4 hours from the time payment is received so the status bar updates quickly.
