The Dallas PoP increases Voxility’s US presence to eight core hubs, offering customers private IaaS solutions in the world’s most mature cloud market
Voxility, an international Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, has extended its footprint, with the launch of a point of presence (PoP) in Equinix DA3 in Dallas, US. Equinix DA3 is situated within the Infomart Data Center – it is the fifth most interconnected data centre in the US, facilitating customers to quickly connect all over the US and Central and South America.
Voxility rents and sells hardware, internet access, network equipment, and security services to enterprises that need secure infrastructure as a service. The OPEX-based IaaS model of Voxility gives enterprise-grade physical hardware in physical locations that can be easily rented with a monthly subscription, allowing users to be clear about where and how their data is hosted and managed.
“Our expansion in the US is part of our long-term growth strategy and commitment to offering customers flexible and secure IaaS in the most interconnected hubs in the world. Dallas is a critical market for the south-central US but also offers a jumping off point for connecting Central America,” said Maria Sirbu, VP of Corporate Communications at Voxility. “Data sovereignty and control over where and how data is managed is becoming even more important to cloud service providers and enterprises and we aim at offering them all of the flexibility of the public cloud but with the security and control of private or on prem solutions”.
In addition to Dallas, Voxality works POPs in strategic markets such as Los Angeles, Ashburn, Reston, and Miami in the US, as well as data centers in major centers throughout Europe. As per the Center for Applied Internet Data Analysis (CAIDA), Voxility network ranks among the top 100 internet networks in the world with 2 Tbps edge IP traffic connectivity towards 1,600+ network peers. The infrastructure and services of Voxality are underpinned by leading cyber security solutions and can be managed by the users through an intuitive dashboard.
“We are excited to expand our relationship with Equinix in a new hub and deliver services in one of the largest and most dynamic cloud markets in the US. Equinix offers a reliable and trusted facility with a globally consistent experience,” said Sirbu. “Over the last 12 to 18 months, we’ve seen a surge in demand for cloud-based services matched with a growing need for security and data integrity in the region. As Voxility grows in new hubs, we are bringing computing power closer to where it counts, making it secure and flexible for clients.
The Equinix Dallas campus offers a strategic hub for over 605 companies and its network services to customers from more than 140 competing providers who are providing access to Central and South American routes. It is the largest Internet Exchange (IX) in South Central America by participants and traffic volume.
