NTT has launched its new hyperscale knowledge heart campus that can host 5,000 racks and assist over 30 MW of IT load, in Navi Mumbai with the primary knowledge heart NAV1A. The NAV1A campus can accommodate 4 knowledge facilities, reaching 150 MW facility load. At present, there are 3 NTT knowledge heart campuses in Mumbai.
NTT’s data centers span across Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia with a major presence in India, providing increased data center capacity and network connectivity across different regions. NTT, which operates under the name Netmagic in India, is headquartered in Mumbai and serves over 2,500 clients, including hyperscalers.
NTT currently has 12 knowledge facilities in India distributed across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Chennai, with a complete facility energy capability near 220 MW.
“The cloudification of all the things is driving large demand. As all the things are bought as a service over the cloud, they must be put up someplace in a knowledge heart. Other than that, knowledge localization, in addition to the pandemic to some extent, has been the expansion driver for us,” mentioned, Sharad Sanghi, Managing Director, NTT Ltd. in India.
NTT is among the largest knowledge facilities operators in India and is on an expanding spree with new DC amenities arising throughout all its current locations. It is opening eight extra knowledge facilities and plans to achieve a facility load capability of 509 MW by March 2024.
NTT is constructing a 6-acre knowledge heart campus in Chennai with complete construction anticipated to be completed by November 2023. NTT is having similar plans for Noida and the information heart construction here is expected to be completed by February 2023.
These developments are a part of the conscious $2 billion funding that NTT had designated in 2020 for scaling its infrastructure capability.
Globally, NTT is one of the world’s largest knowledge heart operators, and currently has 1,300 MW of knowledge heart capability, accompanied by a big improvement pipeline of a 25% enhancement in capability across more than 20 international locations and areas.
