Msheireb Properties (MP), a well-known real estate developer in Qatar, and global technology company Microsoft have recently announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement marks the commencement of an innovative partnership aimed at developing a state-of-the-art ‘Smart Experience’ for residents, guests, and retail as well as commercial clients in MP’s flagship development, Msheireb Downtown Doha (MDD).
The ‘Smart Experience’ Project is set to transform the way people engage with urban environments by designing and incorporating cutting-edge solutions aimed at enhancing the everyday lives of those within MDD. This endeavor is in line with Msheireb Properties’ dedication to fostering a sustainable and technologically progressive urban environment, providing an enhanced experience for everyone who engages with MDD.
Under the terms of the MoU, Msheireb Properties and Microsoft plan to utilize Microsoft Azure services to improve the Smart City Experience products, services, and solutions for the Msheireb Downtown Doha community. Additionally, Microsoft is also planning to integrate AI capabilities within MDD to spur innovation for residents, visitors, customers, and employees while making the district a center of creativity and technological advancement.
Commenting on the collaboration, Msheireb Properties Ali Al Kuwari said, “The potential of what we are embarking on with Microsoft is tremendous in elevating Msheireb Downtown Doha’s function as a Smart City. We believe that this partnership will not only advance the living experience within Msheireb Downtown Doha but also create a dynamic and collaborative urban environment.”
