Microsoft has said that the legacy Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) incentives for some seat-based offers will end on December 31, 2022. As it continues its journey to new commerce, Microsoft said that partner incentives are evolving. “We currently offer partner incentives for more than 400 Azure, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365 SKUs in new commerce to support partners as they migrate customers to the new experience.”

The complete list of the affected SKUs in the CSP product addendum is available on the partner incentives portal.

Partners in the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program can access various incentives programs that can reward them for delivering services to customers. These programs will also help them expand their business.

To continue earning incentives, partners must transact these offers in new commerce CSP by enrolling in the Microsoft Commerce Incentives (MCI) program and meeting eligibility requirements.

To consolidate and simplify incentives, the MCI is adding new earning opportunities. Microsoft has added Azure Migration and Modernization Program (AMMP) Partner-led engagements so that partners can accelerate and simplify customer migration and modernization projects. It has also updated the existing incentives for FY23 engagement terms.

An Engagement within MCI is a unique earning opportunity with specific Partner eligibility requirements or Customer eligibility requirements, aligned to one Solution Area. Microsoft will be adding new earning opportunities to MCI throughout the calendar year 2023.

Non-commercial offers that are included in the CSP product addendum and are not available in new commerce as of January 1, 2023, will continue to be available through legacy CSP incentives.

Microsoft will continue to pay partner incentives for non-commercial offers that are not available in new commerce. This includes Education, Government, and Nonprofit offer IDs, and promotions.

Microsoft NCE is the evolution of Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. It is designed to help CSP partners with more transparency and control over their purchasing process. Read more on how partners can leverage the most out of the NCE model here.
