Juniper to acquire Cyphort for Machine Learning security features

1 Mins read

Juniper Networks, a leading American multinational that develops and markets networking products, has announced plans to acquire security analytics software firm Cyphort. The acquisition will enable Juniper to strengthen its Sky ATP solution that will help companies in detecting threats that have been missed by their first-line of security.

The cloud-based Advanced Threat Prevention (ATP) is a significant feature of next generation firewalls, and this move will help Juniper take a step ahead to be the leader in the Next Generation Firewall space and to provide customers with a better solution for both – on premises and cloud.

Cyphort is a security software company providing enterprise customers with security analytics for advanced threat defense. Its Advanced Security Analytics Platform is created with an open-architecture that seamlessly integrates with current security tools and discovers the threats that bypass the first line of security defense. This is done with its machine learning feature and behavioral analytics for better efficiency.

With its analytics engine, Cyphort complements legacy SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms and helps provide a simpler solution to the enterprises to quickly find advanced threats that are not detected by other devices.

Cyphort will integrate with Juniper’s Sky ATP platform, and will provide the customers with a wide range of supported files, a better performance, and improved threat detection capabilities, for on-premises and off-premises.

“This acquisition is expected to strengthen Juniper’s Sky ATP solution, by offering an enhanced solution for both on-premises and cloud – providing the best of both worlds for customers.” Juniper Networks wrote in a blog post.
