Google with their employees even after their death!!!
Google, the search engine giant, has always maintained prosperous relations with its employees by offering various perks & facilities. Some of them includes free haircuts, gourmet food, on-site doctors, gyms and many more. It shows that the search giant cares for its employees. Google continues this fashion by rolling out the death benefits to its employees. With the latest announcement, spouse or partner of the deceased staffer will be offered half of the salary of the staffer every year for a decade.
Chief People Officer Laszlo Bock in an interview with Forbes stated, “One of the things we realized recently was that one of the harshest but most reliable facts of life is that at some point most of us will be confronted with the death of our partners, And it’s a horrible, difficult time no matter what, and every time we went through this as a company we tried to find ways to help the surviving spouse of the Googler who’d passed away.”
This benefit revealed with “no tenure requirement,” which means all 34,000 employees qualifies. This benefit doesn’t stop just on salary. The spouse of the deceased employee will also avail vested stock benefits and the children will receive $1000per month until the age of 19 (age time can be extended if the child is in school full time).
