Barracuda Networks, which is a partner and provider of cloud-first security solutions, has unveiled various significant channel-related initiatives to enhance the partner experience and advance prosperity within the channel ecosystem. These initiatives consist of fresh channel positions, supplementary resources to empower partners, and an extended worldwide presence.

“We are pleased to share the increasing level of investment in our partner experience and all the ways we’re helping drive partner success and the expansion of our channel ecosystem,” said Jason Beal, VP, Worldwide Partner Ecosystems at Barracuda. “With these new hires, and an added emphasis on technical enablement, we’re giving our partners the tools they need to identify and win more opportunities with prospects and customers. The closer alignment between our reseller and MSP teams is also benefiting our partners.”

New hires at Barracuda

Barracuda Networks has recently made changes to its team, appointing Maria Martinez as the VP of Channels for the Americas and promoting Karen Ward to VP of MSP Sales for the same region. Martinez, who has over two decades of channel expertise, is expected to bring in her skills on channel sales growth and program enhancement. Meanwhile, Ward has been part of Barracuda’s MSP business unit for more than six years, where she has focused on the development and success of partners alongside her team.

Furthermore, Barracuda is expanding its partner experience, enablement, and channel ecosystem teams by hiring new channel roles. These additions are part of Barracuda’s focus on delivering advanced technical education and training to its channel partners. The company is also investing in extended detection and response (XDR) technology to help its channel partners reinforce their security practices.

Barracuda is widening its global reach by appointing regional channel ecosystem and sales directors in the Asia Pacific area. Recently, Andy Lau and Makoto Suzuki were hired as the Director for Partner Ecosystems and Alliance for Asia Pacific & Japan and Regional Sales Director for Japan, respectively. In March, Paul Crighton joined as the Regional Sales Director for Australia, New Zealand & the Pacific Islands. These appointments bring over 50 years of cybersecurity, technology, and channel experience to their respective roles.

Strengthening partnerships

Barracuda is increasing its efforts to build stronger partnerships with its alliance partners, with a focus on hyperscalers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. To achieve this goal, the company is introducing new tools and resources. One example is the integration of Barracuda Email Protection with Amazon Security Lake, which was announced in November to help customers gain better access to email security data. Furthermore, Barracuda’s network, application, and email protection solutions are widely available on the AWS and Azure marketplaces.

Barracuda provides three critical elements to assist high-performance MSP partners in achieving their growth objectives. The first two are a growing and reputable security portfolio and a clear corporate vision, along with robust partner programs. The third ingredient is the Barracuda team itself. The company’s workforce, from executive management to channel marketing, engineering, and account managers, is entirely focused on putting its partners’ needs first.

Barracuda collaborates with over 5,000 channel partners across the globe. The company’s partner program is comprised of numerous offerings, benefits, and services designed to help partners improve their businesses with a robust and user-friendly product portfolio. Barracuda aims to broaden its outreach by collaborating with channel partners who share the company’s dedication to providing customers with its products, services, and support.
