IoT helps CIOs and CTOs unlock new revenue opportunities from existing products and services

25% senior business leaders said that the use of IoT in their business is sparking a new wave of innovation due to the vast set of insightful data; 22% told that IoT is helping them unlock new revenue opportunities from current products and services. This and more such findings were revealed in Internet of Things Business Index,2017 study by The Economist Intelligence Unit. The study mirrored the business plans of 825 senior business leaders. IBM increases Datacenters to enable organizations build futuristic applications leveraging IoT & AI

IBM announced the opening of four new datacenters; two in London; one in San Jose, California; and another one in Sydney, Australia. The announcement came one day after the company’s second quarter 2017 earnings report, which failed to earn good revenues. With this, IBM now has nearly 60 Datacenters, spread across 19 countries to support the global expansion of its cloud services. PwC report evaluates AI potential, how a business can capitalize AI & its impact on world economy by 2030

Artificial Intelligence based technologies will contribute nearly $15.7 trillion to the global economy in 2030, per a report published by Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC). Of the contribution, $6.6 trillion is likely to come from increased business productivity by organizations who will use AI to automate and augment their workforces, while remaining $9.1 is expected to come from increased consumption from those customers who will look for better and higher-quality goods.
