PMC Improves Data Centers Through Its Second-Generation SSD Caching Solution

DAILYHOSTNEWS, October 18, 2011 – PMC-Sierra, Inc., the semiconductor innovator transforming storage, optical and mobile networks, has today announced the Adaptec Series 6Q with maxCache 2.0 SSD caching which is meant to accelerate data center and cloud computing application performance. MaxCache 2.0 employs an intelligent, learned-path algorithm to radically improve performance of HDD-based arrays. Midwave is an IT services and solutions firm that deals with optimization of data centers and IT infrastructure of enterprise companies. Both Datalink and Midwave have an outstanding track record of success in helping organizations achieve their business value of IT. The purchase of Midwave amounted to $17.6 million.
