Twitter, a social media giant, seems to squeeze knot around the neck of third party Twitter clients including Hootsuite, Tweetbot, Ecofon and many others. These softwares are helping clients in many ways such as scheduling the tweets, track conversations, etc.
Until now, the information was provided to users about how each tweet was posted by writing below the tweet via HootSuite but from now this advertising feature will be hidden by Twitter. This implementation will make tweets look homogeneous and privacy is also protected.
This move also emphasizes on improving the reading experience of the users & to push users towards using first-party clients. Moreover, Twitter is tightening down on third party services in varied ways in a bid to control how its content looks and more importantly, how it is monetized.
