The session titled “Winning in India – Creating new markets and seizing opportunities,” at WHD.India 2013 saw Mr. Rajiv Sodhi, Vice President and Managing Director, Go Daddy taking an interactive approach to show how GoDaddy India has grown in India since its inception here almost an year back.
– Rajiv Sodhi, MD, GoDaddy India.
Going for a quiz, he asked attendees to answer what some numbers showed on the screen depicted; like “90,000” being the number of calls GoDaddy India Customer support has received in last 100 days.
Major highlight of the session was Mr. Rajiv announcing “GoDaddy India Partner program,” based on three fundamentals principles:
- Boost your profitability: Customized pricing for resellers and partners.
- World class customer support: White labelled outsourced customer support.
- Expand your business: Customized mobile storefront, dedicated account management, co-marketing opportunities.
The newly launched program has some additional incentives for “certified partners”, with GoDaddy going an extra mile to help them expand their business and add additional revenues.
Mr. Sodhi also talked at great length about GoDaddy India’s new “Cup of Coffee” campaign.
In a move to spread awareness among Indian SMBs and entrepreneurs about the importance of online presence and how convenient, fast and cost-effective it is to build a website, GoDaddy has launched a ‘Cup of Coffee’ campaign in India.
Titled ‘Get a Web presence in the time you finish a cup of coffee,’ the campaign running simultaneously in New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad will have GoDaddy mobile-experience-zone positioned at various SMB clusters for one month.
SMBs will be given a first hand experience of registering a domain name, building a website, getting an email address and leveraging Google AdWords for website promotion.
The campaign will also see radio and outdoor advertising along with trained GoDaddy experts going door-to-door in selected clusters to ensure maximum outreach to SMBs in the three cities.
“GoDaddy is a OneStopShop for all the web needs of SMBs in India, be it domain, VPS, Dedicated Servers, Search engine marketing, SSL security, search engine optimization, email and social media marketing, pay-per-click advertising, or web designing,” said Mr. Rajiv Sodhi.
“80% of customers leave a website if it doesn’t provide Mobile friendly usage, and this figure is only going to grow. And this is one of the most important features of GoDaddy Website builder; you can build very compelling, professional looking, well-designed websites with great features, and we give you a mobile website for free”, added Mr. Sodhi, sharing some videos of SMB owners who benefited from GoDaddy Website builder.
He also emphasized how SMBs can also benefit from GoDaddy’s Global infrastructure which helps 11 million people meet their web needs more efficiently with faster webpage loads, better connectivity etc.
“We’re bringing the same Infrastructure to India so that SMBs here can build a successful online aspect of their business, whether they are a one-person operation or a bigger, established company. We’re confident that we’re winning in India and we’re winning India” said Mr. Sodhi, wrapping up the session.
The next session lined up is “Innovative solutions delivering growth for your business” by Mr. David Dzienciol, Regional Vice President and General Manager (Asia Pacific), Parallels at 4:20 PM.
