Web hosting and cloud services provider  Media Temple (mt) today launched DV Managed – the latest version of its VPS hosting platform, and CloudTech Premium Support – a new 24/7 multi-channel support platform that provides  customer solutions by certified CloudTech engineers at the  application code level.

DV Managed provides SMBs and start-ups with  affordable managed hosting. It  runs  LAMP applications 25% faster than the previous version and backups and maintenance complete 10X faster.

Pre-loaded with various software packages including CentOS, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Postfix, YUM package management, and Plesk Panel 11 from Parallels, DV Managed comes with a service level agreement (SLA) that offers the (mt) Media Temple 20/20 Uptime Guarantee – promising 99.999% server availability 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

DV Managed is currently available in three packages priced at  $50/mo (1 GB RAM, 30 GB Storage, 1 TB BandWidth), $100/mo (2 GB RAM, 50 GB Storage, 1.5 TB BandWidth) and $150/mo (4 GB RAM, 100 GB Storage, 2 TB BandWidth).

DV Developer, formerly known as (ve), is available  with the same upgrades as DV Managed and some additional rebootless updates – upgrade kernel and reboot without downtime, improved stats using vSwap, and unlimited scalability by removing the previous 20 service limit per account.
