DAILYHOSTNEWS, January11, 2012 – 6connect, the first network automation platform to help usher in IPv6, yesterday announced that Anna Claiborne has joined the company as VP of Engineering to drive further product development. The 6connect software suite helps network operators gain control of their IPv4 networks in preparation for the migration to IPv6 by automating multiple core administration tasks.

Claiborne has an extensive background in security and software development which includes a successful tenure at Terremark, where as a Product Manager for Security Services, she oversaw product development and product line management for Managed Security Services. With a passion for solving complex problems in technology, Anna has been a penetration tester and worked as a developer on numerous applications including high volume credit card processing and medical billing programs. In 2004 Anna co-founded Prolexic Technologies, the world’s largest and most trusted Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation provider.
Anna Claiborne is very active in the security and networking communities and has spoken on many topics surrounding DDoS. She currently serves on the Peering Forum Board of Directors and is frequently involved in activities with the North American Network Operators Group (NANOG).
